Nolan Update

Things have been so busy around here. Deric's mom and dad came in from Illinois last week. They took care of Nolan during the week and then on Friday, Deric and I went to the lake for the weekend. It ended up being rainy and pretty cold, but it was so nice to get away. Nolan loved spending time with his Gigi and Grandad. Nolan also received THREE boxes of his cousin Thomas' clothes. Thanks Aunt Devin, Uncle Tom and Cousin Thomas. As you can see from the pictures, Nolan has a whole new wardrobe! He is growing fast. He has started to try to pull himself up on things. He has not been able to do it by himself, but I am sure it won't be long. He has moved up to the big side of the infant room where he must wear shoes every day. This has been a challenge, since Nolan screams when we put shoes on him. He is such a calm and easy-going boy, but we have just discovered that he does not like wearing shoes! He has started eating meat and some fruit in small pieces. He has not mastered the skill of picking things up and getting them into his mouth...but we are working on it! He is not talking, although he says "ba ba" a lot when he has his bottle. We have always called his bottle his ba ba, so we think this may be his first real word!
