Nolan blew bubbles under the water for the first time today during swim lessons. After watching his teacher model this at each lesson, he finally put his face in today and just did it! Once he figured out how to do it and that it would get a roar of cheers and clapping, he did it throughout the lesson. Since that seemed to impress his teacher, Nolan then decided to stick his whole head all the way under and blow bubbles. As he suspected, his teacher showered him with praise!
He kept reaching out for her today because he knew she would glide him under the water. He kept reaching for her to do it again and again. She said he is good at holding his breath and spitting out any water now so he can go under 6 times in our 30 minute lesson compared to our usual limit of 3. He has also gotten really good at climbing out of the pool on the side with elbows first and then knees. He still is not patient enough to sit all the way down before flopping back in. I am proud of my little swimmer!
